Reflections 👩‍💻

This week I came across a quote that hit home:

It’s wild how many people take things personally and blur boundaries, assuming they’re responsible for someone else’s actions. Didn’t hear back from a potential investor, LP, or founder? Must be your fault. Someone didn’t reply or unfollowed you on social media? Surely it’s because of you, right? Wrong.

The real issue is with healthy boundaries—recognizing that it's not you, it's not your problem. It’s about them. Don’t carry the weight or overthink every "what if." Move on. There are a thousand reasons why something didn’t go your way, and your ego might make you take it personally when you shouldn’t.

Life becomes so much easier when you embrace the "not my fault" mindset.

But this goes beyond just work. That’s the idea behind "More Than Tech"—we’re not defined only by our careers. Life is about more than what we do for a living. It’s about the different roles we play, the passions we follow, and the experiences that shape us.
