Reflections 👩‍💻

There is no such thing as FOMO.

Two weeks ago, I went to a networking dinner I had been excited about, but by the end of the night, I regretted it. I put in extra effort to travel, meet new people, and explore potential opportunities. But none of it was worth it.

Over the last two years, I’ve significantly limited my socializing and drastically reduced the people I spend time with. Why? Because otherwise, there’s no time left to focus on meaningful work and the things that truly matter. Social events can easily drain time and energy without adding real value.

What if I meet someone valuable or discover something life-changing? Honestly, it rarely happens.

Then there’s my friend, who also keeps life simple and focused. He’s a successful investor who works with a very focused portfolio. Every day, he checks his investments, adjusts when needed, and sticks to his research. That’s it—no distractions, no trends, no FOMO.

His approach is a great reminder: life doesn’t have to be complicated to work. Focus on what’s meaningful and let go of the rest.

The lesson? Only say "hell yes" to what truly matters. Stop chasing "what if" opportunities and focus on the people, projects, and events that align with your values.

When you filter out the noise, life becomes simpler and much more rewarding.
