An old Latin proverb, “Initium est dimidium facti”, reminds us of t
he timeless importance of simply beginning the task at hand.
It translates to: ”Once you’ve started, you’re halfway there.”

Helping someone find 100 jobs in 5 minutes (with TabTabTab)
I recently stopped by our portfolio company TabTabTab’s office in London; they’re working on fascinating new use cases around data discovery and automation. It made me think of how I’ve been using the tool myself lately.
A friend recently told me it’s getting impossible to find a (good) job.
So I decided to help and test that belief.
Using TabTabTab, I set up a quick search: “operational background + interest in startups, cars, and content creation + location: Dubai.”
Five minutes later, I had a list of 100 open roles neatly organized in a Google Sheet.
The same workflow I use daily in my VC work applies perfectly to companies’ research:
Step 1: Open a Google Sheet and decide what columns you want (company name/website/funding round).
Step 2: Press TabTabTab (after installing the Chrome extension).
Step 3: Wait 5 minutes.
Step 4: Enjoy the results.
Sometimes the best way to help someone or to work smarter is just to automate the boring part;-)
Made it simple: want feedback on your deck or fundraising?

AI: In a Bubble? (Goldman Sachs, October 2025)
